TVRH is looking for highly motivated, highly skilled individuals to join the team at our Holly Springs location. We provide 24-hour emergency service and specialty referrals in surgery, internal medicine and radiology. We're looking for team members who want to utilize their skills to the fullest potential in a fast paced, fun, and stimulating environment.

Our perfect candidate(s) would be able to function with a great deal of autonomy and responsibility; have solid technical skills, sound judgment, excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work both independently and with a team.
Essential Job Functions:

• Provide nursing care to critically ill hospitalized patients in conjunction with specialty and emergency veterinarians
• Triage incoming patients
• Assess patient stability and obtain patient vital signs
• Perform diagnostics and treatments of emergency, specialty and hospitalized patients
• Perform hourly patient assessment and monitoring
• Observe patients and recognize changes in status
• Place peripheral and central catheters
• Restrain patients for exams and treatments
• Set up and administer IV and SQ fluids
• Maintain urinary catheters
• Bandage removal and application
• Perform suture and drain removal
• Perform drug dose calculations for injectable medications and CRIs
• Administer injectable medications (IV, IM, SQ)
• Administer other medications (PO, OU, OD)
• Maintain isolation protocols for infectious patients
• Basic wound cleaning and care
• Administer injectable and inhalant anesthesia
• Monitor patients while under anesthesia and maintain a monitoring log
• Monitor patients during recovery from anesthesia
• Obtain samples for and perform in house laboratory testing
• Assist in CPCR
• Client communication and education
• Patient triage and discharge
• Hospitalized patient care
• Patient monitoring and treatments
• In-house laboratory testing
• Medication calculation and administration
• Venipuncture; IV catheter placement
• Digital radiography and more

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $24.00 per hour
