Black River Memorial Hospital has an immediate opening for a part-time Emergency Room Technician (ERT) / Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) in our Emergency Department. The ERT/HUC provides supportive services and direct and indirect patient care. Organizes and coordinates efficient delivery of care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Performs as part of the nursing team in non-clinical tasks and coordinates activities of the unit. This position is:

• Part-time, 36 hours per pay period, Various days including weekends and holidays, non-benefited

Essential Duties:

• Provides patient care following nursing/medical orders as delegated by the RN.
• Performs and coordinates clerical activities on the unit to promote patient-focused care.
• Accurately documents and reviews orders in the electronic medical record according to established standards.

Educational Qualification:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Current certification as a Nursing Assistant or EMT license
• BLS certification is required
