Primary Function/General Purpose of Position

Under the direction of the Director of Flight Operations, the Outreach Coordinator is responsible for developing, managing, and implementing Landing Zone classes and acting as representative to those agencies. Assists with designs, implementation, and managing all Landing Zone classes; establishes the organizations communication plan and media relationships; directs and coordinates activities that enhances Life Flight Network’s position with various referral sources; explores and initiates actions that contribute to the outreach and development of Life Flight Network outreach through offering Landing Zone classes to all agencies in all Market areas.

Fulfills administrative duties as well as complete technical activities necessary to assure alignment to the program mission and vision. Ensures consistency in Landing Zone education, tracks and reports classes and program performance.

Essential Job Functions

  • Ensure high levels of responsiveness and satisfaction; provide regular, professional interactions through personal contacts and written communications.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in relationship building, networking, customer service, and diplomacy.

  • Prepare, implement, and manage Life Flight Network outreach plan and media relations, regarding Landing Zone program classes.

  • Direct and coordinate activities that develop and enhance Life Flight Networks position with various emergency providers.

  • Write class materials in support of Landing Zone programs; provide education to outreach representatives and crew members prior to implementation or program launch dates.

  • Provides initial training of new employees on outreach and outreach programs and the Life Flight Network Membership program.

  • Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual reports of outreach success.

  • Enter and track customer contact information and provide follow up both internally and externally as appropriate.

Licensing/Certification

  • Pilot (Preferred)

  • State of Ohio EMT B/A, Paramedic (Required)

  • State of Ohio Critical Care RN Certificate (Preferred)

  • BLS Basic Life Support – American Heart Association (Preferred)

Education

Bachelor’s degree in related field (preferred)

Work Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience utilizing Aircraft in EMS operations required.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in fire service-related teaching required.

  • Prior outreach and/or public relations experience preferred.

  • Interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with EMS providers, air ambulance providers, hospital staff, physicians, and all levels of management required.
