Job Summary
The Engineering Support Specialist will provide governance and support for the Continuous Product Improvement (CPI) corrective action process and engineering process defect analysis for the 7-18L Engine Manufacturing Facility. They will also provide engineering support to Engineering Team Leaders and coordinate design exploration fit-ups.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide governance of the CPI corrective action process and NPI issues list management
- Prioritize CPI issues and formally launch projects
- Manage timelines and project documentation through myCPI and myNPI platforms
- Provide engineering support to Engineering Team Leaders to help with velocity of projects
- Provide metrics to leadership on Engine Factory CPI/NPI lists
- Provide engineering support on manufacturing process or product design changes that will improve the manufacturability of engines
- Facilitate Engineering Process Defect analysis and governance on Engineering Process Improvements Projects using Lean Tools
- Provide metrics on Lean initiatives for continuous improvement of the Engineering Process for 7L-18L Engines
- Coordinate design exploration fit-ups of new and changing design for Engineering Design Process

- Product and MFG Engineers and Engineering Managers
Work environment
- Office work environment with team members in Mossville, IL and Seguin, TX
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- 2-4 years experience
Required Skills:
- Engineering design, tools, and processes experience
- Ability to provide governance on launching and managing timelines and risks for Engineering Continuous Product Improvement Projects
- Strong communication
- Organization to manage project status and information for a high volume of projects led by Engineer
Desired Skills:
- Systems highly desired: Creo, Teamcenter workflow, EDS
- Engine experience
- PowerBI development
- Project management methodology desired
- Hands-on engineering experience
- Problem solving experience.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $54,000.00 - $64,000.00 per year
