Engineering Technician

Anchor Fabrication

La Vergne, Tennessee

Anchor Fabrication, a metal fabrication company located in La Vergne, TN is seeking an experienced Engineering Technician to join our team.

1. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include but are not limited to the following, other duties may be applied;

1.1. Performing tasks/work inside of Vantage

1.2. Performing tasks inside of Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks. Some modeling may be required.

1.3. Performing tasks inside of Autocad

1.4. Performing tasks and creating programs inside of TruTops Inch, Striker, Radan, Radbend, and AP100

1.5. Creating Excel Spreadsheets when needed.

1.6. Support the Manufacturing Shop when needed

1.7. Being able to multitask on multiple jobs/projects that can change at any time.

1.8. Ability to convey information to operators with a lesser skill level.

1.9. Take a formed drawing and mentally unfold the flat pattern.

1.10. Being able to troubleshoot programming issues with no support or supervision.

1.11. Being able to troubleshoot machinery issues with no support or supervision.

1.12. Assist and train co-workers as needed.

1.13. Travel Requirements: When needed for training purposes.

1.14. Has the Authority and Responsibility to report non-conforming product

1. QUALIFICATIONS

1.1. Mechanically adept

1.2. Attention to detail

1.3. Able to prioritize and work under schedule demands

1.4. Good people & communication skills

1.5. Computer literate

1.6. Able to read all precision measuring instruments and tools

1.7. Ability to read and interpret blueprint specifications

1.8. Having the desire to learn something new.

1.9. Understanding the shop process flow.

1.10. Having Brake, Laser, or Punch Experience is a plus

1. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

1.1. A high school diploma or equivalent along with eight years of shop experience.

Technical School or College preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $33.00 per hour
