IPEC currently has a First Shift opening for a Full-Time Entry Level Electrical Technician in our Electrical Department. This is a Monday-Friday position. (40-48 hours per week. Overtime paid after 40 hours).

Responsibilities:

• Layout and wiring of control panels and installation of conduit and wiring on modular systems.
• Reading electrical schematics, testing and troubleshooting
• Maintains a clean work area, machines, tools and equipment
• Follows all safety and shop rules and regulations
• Performs other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This role has no supervisory responsibilities

Education and/or Experience:

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• Experience in reading schematics
• Wiring control panels

Communication Skills:

• Ability to read and write simple instructions and short correspondence
• Ability to effectively report relevant data and job specific information as needed

Mathematic Skills:

• Ability to perform intermediate mathematics

Computer Skills:

• Ability to navigate basic technology, phones, time clocks and other systems where applicable.

Work Environment: The Electrical Tech interacts with machinery within the facility which often involves heat, noise, debris, conveyance systems and other potentially dangerous equipment. There is also material transportation that takes place in the shop and this can cause high levels of vibration and airborne disturbances.
