About Onewaytrailers: Onewaytrailers has been the industry leader for 20 years in connecting trailer owners with motor carriers for the purpose of repositioning trailers. Our dynamic team works closely together to find qualified motor carriers to move and deliver our customers’ trailers safely.
Purpose of this Position: The Sales Representative position is responsible for creating, building and maintaining relationships with potential and current customers. This position is trusted to effectively communicate with motor carriers and team members.
Scope: The Sales Representative will report directly to the Operations Manager of Onewaytrailers and is responsible for inbound and outbound telephone sales and service. This position will work in a team environment to help each other solve customer needs, taking care of current and potential customers, while at the same time having fun!
What the job entails:
- Manage trailer postings, lists, quoting and releases.
- Outbound calls to build customer base.
- Build solid relationships with trailer owners
- Increase revenue and maximize margin in a transportation brokerage
Candidate Characteristics:
- Motivated, self-starter with a willingness and desire to succeed
- Ability to learn quickly and communicate clearly on the phone and through email
- Comfortable making cold calls as well as following up on warm leads
- Understanding of the trucking and 3PL industry is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate
Sales Representative Job Duties:
- Demonstrates the ability to carry on a business conversation with business owners and decision makers.
- Sells consultatively and makes recommendations to prospects of the various solutions the company offers.
- Develops a database of qualified leads through referrals, industry directory canvassing, email, and networking. Lists of potential leads are provided and vetted to make this duty easier.
- Maintains accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities to maximize potential.
- Effective negotiation skills
- Thinking outside the box – creative problem-solving abilities
- Team player
- Computer literate (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.
- Maintains regular contact with motor carriers to ensure high levels of carrier satisfaction.
- Other duties as assigned.

Experience:
- 1+ years of customer service experience preferable.
- 1+ years of experience in the transportation industry preferable.
- Possess excellent communication traits in person, over the telephone and in writing.
- Proven ability to achieve sales quotas.

Pay: $37,000.00 - $41,000.00 per year
