Entry Level Transmission Line Engineer

POWER Engineers is currently seeking an Entry Level Transmission Line Engineer to work in the Power Delivery Overhead Transmission Line Department in our Fort Mill, South Carolina office. The office is located 30 minutes from Charlotte, NC.

Responsibilities

• The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the transmission line design for new lines, relocations, upgrades, and fiber optic additions.

Required Education/Experience

• BSCE (Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering) degree from an accredited university
• Engineer In Training (EIT) registration is required
• The candidate must have a strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills in order to work effectively with internal team members and external client personnel
• Experience using the Microsoft Office software suite

Desired Education/Experience

• Ideal coursework includes structural analysis, concrete design, steel design, soil mechanics, foundation design and surveying
• Minimum 2.75 Grade Point Average (GPA)
• Previous engineering design or drafting work experience, especially if related to civil and/or structural engineering
