Our Company is actively seeking an experienced Director of Logistics to help raise the bar and take our supply chain team to the next level for our growing manufacturing, assembly, and global cycling company. This position reports directly to the CEO and participates as a member of the leadership team.
JOB SUMMARY
This position manages ENVE’s entire supply chain, including logistics, planning, warehouse and inventory management, budgeting, carrier relationship management, staffing and continuous optimization of logistics operations. A key function of this position will be to reduce current inventory to match demand and create and implement lean inventory systems in accordance with corporate goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Lead the entire supply chain team, consistently focused on developing and practicing attributes of a high performing culture.
- Lead back-office integration for all functions including purchasing, shipping, returns, in-warranty / advanced exchange, repair processes
- Lead integration into all care and operational processes for the business that forward and reverse logistics supports.
- Lead new product introduction activities into the channels for all inventory management, forward, and reverse logistics processes.
- Identify and champion continuous improvement and ensure that corrective actions are implemented for logistics-related deviations or unfavorable performance.
- Accurately maintain logistics and inventory related transactions in the system of record as well as maintain and reconcile finished goods inventory levels in collaboration with Supply Chain Planning and Finance.
- Partner with cross-functional teams for the selection, qualification, implementation, and management of service providers, shipping lanes, and shipping containers.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS
- Oversee performance metrics and KPI’s for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain, both domestic and international.
- Implement and manage standardized distribution practices and protocols, and related requirements for warehouse, carriers, and related partners.
- Develop policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and safety; implements subsequent changes to processes.
- Oversee development and maintenance of detailed inventories and records of materials and supplies located in the company, at sites, and in the factory. Oversee management of shipment schedules and priorities, while providing visibility of shipment status to key stakeholders.
- Participates as an advisory member of the new product development team, providing information and guidance on availability and cost of supplies and materials. Acts as part of the team coordinating engineering changes, or product line extensions to ensure timely and orderly material and production flow transitions.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY/POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This job has supervisory responsibilities over non-exempt and exempt support staff. This is a full-time position; days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day. Regular onsite attendance is expected and required. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (R) = Required (P) = Preferred (Equivalent combinations will be considered)
(R) Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or other related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA) preferred.
SKILLS (LANGUAGE, MATHEMATICAL, REASONING, OTHER)
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and customers.
- Strong procurement background.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Ability to drive continuous improvement in productivity, cost control, service, inventory accuracy, safety.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Understanding of Company products and logistics.
- Familiarity with new product development/BOMs, technology transfer and composite materials a plus.
- Senior project management skills including an ability to plan, prioritize and manage multiple projects utilizing analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills including leadership skills to mentor, guide and support subordinates and colleagues.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND/OR REGISTRATIONS (R) = Required (P) = Preferred
(P) APICS certification.
PHYSICAL / VISUAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work in a typical office environment as well as occasionally travel into the warehouse/manufacturing facility.
- Requires sitting for long periods of time at a keyboard but can also require standing, walk, use hands to fell, bend, grasp, pull, push, stoop or stretch to perform the functions of this position.
- Regularly required to talk and hear.
- Must be able to occasionally lift product, supplies and materials weighing up to 40 lbs (couple times per week).
- Ability to travel by car and/or air ~10-20% of the time.
