Environmental Health and Safety Manager

Job Summary:
The Environmental Health, and Safety Manager will implement policies to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Inspects the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.
· Develops and implements inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections.
· Develops health and safety procedures for all areas of the company.
· Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
· Monitors compliance with safety procedures.
· Drafts inspection reports to document inspection findings.
· Ensures that material safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed.
· Maintains records of safety accidents and employee follow-up
· Handles correspondence for company Worker’s Compensation Claims
· Maintains OSHA logs in accordance with the law
· Reviews and updates safety policies regarding employees, drivers, and all other aspects of the position
· Performs on-site Safety Training
· Updates and Maintains companies Safety Manual
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Proficient in technology and equipment used in environmental inspections.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field preferred.
· Five years of related experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
· Physically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections.
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
Qualifications
Associate's Degree in closely related field or a combination of education and experience
First Aid, CPR & AED trained
OSHA 10 General Industry. OSHA 30 General Industry preferred, or willing to secure within 1 year of hire date
HAZWOPER 24 or HAZWOPER 40
This position is deemed a safety-sensitive position. As such, any person who is given a conditional offer of employment will be required to pass a drug test, including a marijuana test
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $62,039.10 - $74,713.76 per year

- 8 hour shift
