Environmental Health and Safety Manager
Leads the development, implementation, and ongoing management of industry-leading environmental health and safety programs. Ultimately, the Springfield facility's EHS Manager would be responsible for all aspects of EHS.
Roles and Responsibilities
- In-depth knowledge of EHS regulations, state regulations, and industry practices at the Federal, state, and local levels.
- Implement health, wellness, and environmental health and safety programs to reduce employee/employer risks.
- Establish a better understanding of EHS by developing and distributing educational material.
- Maintain federal and state compliance by conducting EHS audits of company facilities and making recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with all EHS and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements, Workers Compensation laws, and establish plans to reduce company liability, employee risks, and potential OSHA fines.
- Maintain OSHA-compliant recording standards.
- Ensure that employee exposure levels are monitored, that records are kept, and that corrective measures are taken to eliminate work-related injuries and illnesses.
- Implement safety, health, and wellness policies that promote the company's philosophy for a healthy and safe workplace.
- Ensure the competency of first responders by training and testing them.
- Maintain fire containment skills by guiding and assisting First Response team members.
- Ensure that employee health records are kept confidential.
- Develop training programs for production supervisors and other management personnel.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Safety or Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) or an equivalent degree
- A minimum of 2-5 years of EHS experience
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $105,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
