THE ROLE

The Maintenance Technician is to perform routine and preventative maintenance and minor repairs to company vehicles and equipment at the LGM warehouse or on-site at various events. This position will perform a variety of skilled duties in one or more of the building trades, such as painting, carpentry, minor electrical, or other recognized crafts for the purpose of maintaining, repairing the equipment or vehicles.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Responds to service calls for the facility and/or equipment on the road.
• Evaluates condition of facility and/or equipment; updates the Fleet Manager and Facilities Manager regarding conditions.
• Performs routine preventative maintenance on facility and equipment.
• Follows procedures to ensure all equipment is in working order. This includes following proper instructions to make sure specifications are met.
• Inspects vehicles for defects before and after trips and submits report indicating their condition.
• Performing proper care and use/organization of all equipment (maintained tires, general maintenance, etc.) and cleaned (wash/wax) prior to, during and after the event.
• Attend events as needed to perform maintenance on equipment and/or vehicles.
• Maintenance, set-up and teardown of event equipment and store structures.
• Maintenance and cleaning of company vehicles.
• Able to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Perform routine, repetitive daily inspection and maintenance as necessary to maintain facility appearance to high level of standards. Performing preventative maintenance when necessary.
• Completes required maintenance tasks in a timely manner. Ensures that repairs are made in a way that is safe and in compliance with the relevant laws and licensing authority regulations.
• Advises when an outside contractor may be necessary. Reviews contractor estimates to ensure that the estimates accurately reflect the required repairs and reasonable job costs.
• Other duties may be assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Technical trade school preferred
• 1 year minimum experience providing maintenance support in various maintenance techniques and trades, such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, etc.
• Ability to work safely with hands and power tools and have the ability to lift a minimum of 75 pounds.
• Ability to be on feet and walk long distances, which may include climbing ladders and staircases
• Proven ability to organize, manage, and complete multiple tasks in an efficient and timely fashion
• Professional and personable. Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Willingness to work in a rapidly changing, diverse environment and a willingness to accommodate the schedule in an attraction and events venue
• Ability to work non-traditional hours based on attraction schedule (nights, weekends and holidays as necessary).
• Travel is required as needed

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
