EQUIPMENT SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Cincinnati based distributor is seeking a technician to repair and maintain electric and battery operated cleaning equipment used by its customers. This position involves examining various electrical cleaning equipment including small & large carpet vacuums, floor scrubbers, large riding floor scrubbers, pressure washers, and other equipment used in a commercial cleaning application. The candidate will be responsible for determining the source of a problem and or advise as to maintaining the equipment in an operational state. These functions will be performed either at a customer’s facility or in our company’s shop. Extensive experience is preferred or vocational certificate from a community or technical college, along with on-the-job experience. A completed apprenticeship is also acceptable.

Technician Duties and Responsibilities

· Respond to service calls for the repair of electric & battery equipment

· Perform routine maintenance on electric & battery cleaning equipment

· Inspect equipment to avoid possible breakdowns

· Keeping track of hours to be billed back to the customer

· Ordering and billing for parts and labor involved in a repair

· Scheduling future service calls

· Maintaining the company service department & van

· Maintain compliance with all safety regulations

Technician Requirements and Qualifications

· High school diploma or GED certificate

· Vocational certificate or equivalent experience

· Background working with a variety of electrical equipment

· Certified electric technician credentials

· Valid driver’s license

Position is full time with paid time off and vacation, medical benefits and 401K
