WANTED: A mission-driven candidate with a Secret Clearance and 20 years of experience to become our next Supply and Habitability Technical Trainer in Norfolk, VA.

A week in the life of a ERAT Supply and Habitability Technical Trainer:
- Provide mentoring and deck plate training to U.S. Navy sailors in Aegis and non-Aegis ship classes regarding the operation and maintenance of supply and habitability shipboard systems and equipment and the spaces they reside in. Specific systems and equipment are typically found in the galley, scullery, laundry, trash room, ship’s store, barbershop, and berthing/living compartments.
- Perform readiness evaluations (REs) such as RE2, RE5, RE6 and RE7 and training assist visits in spaces and on equipment and systems as noted in the above paragraph in support of the TYCOM/ISIC/ship to improve operator proficiency and equipment and space readiness.
- Trainers will use Navy PMS, INSURV Inspection Guides, and relevant Navy and equipment technical manuals as the basis for their training and equipment assessments. This supply and habitability trainer position focuses on equipment and space assessments vice the assessment of supply programs, so a multitude of Navy supply and engineering ratings would be suitable for the position. As such, on the job training will be provided to cross train engineering ratings in supply areas and supply ratings in engineering areas.
- Training assist visits and equipment readiness evaluations will include missions that normally last three to five days per ship and may require occasional travel to Mayport, FL and Rota, Spain. As part of the readiness evaluation process, there will also be a couple of one day overnight underway periods per month.

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary/hourly range for this position is $66,000 - $70,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law. - High School Diploma
- Retired E7 or above Electrician’s Mate (EM), Hull Technician (HT), Damage Controlman (DC), Engineman (EN), Machinist’s Mate (MM), Logistics Specialist (LS), Retail Specialist (RS), Culinary Specialist (CS), Ship’s Serviceman (SH), or LDO or Warrant Officers sourced from these ratings.
