Overview
The Classroom Facilitator works with Interactive Video Conferencing (IVC) and Zoom instructors and students to ensure a beneficial learning environment. This is a part-time, non-benefited position (10 - 25 hours/week) located at the Salt Lake Center. Applicants must be available and willing to work late afternoons and evening.
Hours will vary by semester typically from 4:00-10:30 pm. Friday night and Saturday morning shifts may be required.
This position reports to the Director of Technology in Salt Lake. This is an ACA variable position.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate broadcasts of Interactive Video Conferencing (IVC) and Zoom courses.
- Setup classroom, operate equipment, trouble-shoot technical problems, proctor tests, collect assignments, and distribute class materials.
- Cover the Information Desk and interact and communicate professionally with faculty, students, administrators, and supervisor.
- Provide nightly updates to supervisor on technology or classroom issues.
- Assist with cleaning of classrooms, student lounge and other areas. Be willing to work a flexible schedule and help cover other facilitators shifts as necessary.
- All other duties as assigned.

This position requires moderate physical effort. Employees must have sufficient strength to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position, including lifting up to 25 pounds, walking and standing. Employees must adhere to safety precautions and may be required to use protective equipment.
