Job Title Event Manager, North America.
Aon currently has an immediate need for an Event Manager, North America.
As the Events Manager you are responsible for:
- Manage the regional events strategy deployment, planning and hands on execution of a comprehensive regional portfolio (physical, virtual and hybrid) that reaches and engages priority audiences to align to business goals and deliver against buyer needs
- Provide insight into the best and the most impactful formats based on broader industry knowledge, and effectively challenge the conventional thinking in producing an event
- Understand market context to inform the delivery of word class guest experience on time and on budget
- Coordinate and collaborate closely with Growth Marketing, Insight Marketing, Enterprise Client Group & Innovation and Centres of Excellence to deliver global and regional event marketing plan, while balancing competing priorities and stakeholders
- Provide insight into how each event contributes to the overall customer journey plan, highlighting key challenges to ensure exceptional experiences are delivered
- Collaborate with key stakeholder to establish and measure KPIs for each event, ensuring each events has a clearly defined role and purpose and is contributing to growth
- Lead the delivery consistent post event reporting, to ensure impact is tracked and understood, highlight any concerns or missed opportunities
- Partner with Digital Marketing Centre of Excellence to:
- Use digital targeting platforms to market events and drive audience acquisition
- Work closely with CRM teams to manage event attendee journey and measure impact
- Partner with the Communications & Content Centre of Excellence to:
- Develop and fulfil related pre- to post-participant and host communication materials (e.g. invitations, save-the-dates, registration announcements, onsite event materials, signages, etc.)
- Find and recruit possible internal and external speakers of events
- Contribute to the development and lead the regional deployment of consistent frameworks and toolkits to enable a more repeatable approach to events to ensure global consistency and best-in-class experiences
- Attend selected events to lead / assist in end-to-end event delivery to ensure a smooth, successful event
- Serve as liaison with Sales enablement to develop regional event reporting
- Leverage partnerships, suppliers, sponsors and venues effectively and efficiently through strong negotiation skills, to gain quality of service and maximum ROI, with professionalism and integrity
- Excellent management and reconciliation of event budgets to ensure adherence to budget guidelines
- Evaluates staffing models to ensure appropriate staffing levels are in place
- Management, coaching, development, and growth of direct reports

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is targeted between $85-100K annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual bonus in addition to base salary.
