Job Overview
The Executive Assistant is responsible for administrative support of the Senior Pastor, including the management of the Office of the Senior Pastor, scheduling, and coordination of administrative support on an executive level. The Executive Assistant is the primary contact for the Senior Pastor on all matters requiring his attention.
Job Description
Purpose: The Executive Assistant to the Senior Pastor is responsible for providing administrative support directly to the Senior Pastor. This individual a key member of the Office of the Senior Pastor and dedicating to supporting the mission and vision of the Senior Pastor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Coordinate all support of the Senior Pastor needed to ensure effectively planned and implemented worship services.
- Ability to review correspondence for procedural and grammatical accuracy.
- Takes initiative for new and special projects, as needed, to lighten the load on the Senior Pastor.
- Initiate, edit and manage all forms of correspondence as needed to ensure a smooth flow of communication for the Office of the Senior Pastor.
- Manage calendar for the Senior Pastor as primary contact person for meetings and other scheduled commitments.
- Make travel arrangements and coordinate speaking engagement logistics.
- Sign grief letters, first time visitors’ letters, baptism certificates, discipleship training certificates, baby, house and business dedication certificates and serve as POC for their coordination.
- Point of contact for special guests and dignitaries.
- Create license certificates and ordination certificates for new ministers and newly ordained ministers.
- Coordinate funeral and wedding requests in coordination with the Pastor of Congregational Care. Confer with the Senior Pastor regarding final approval.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Experience supporting executive leaders in a large organization and interfacing with other executive assistants.
- Experience supporting multiple units within an organization.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work well individually and collaborate in a team environment.
- Excellent interpersonal relations, oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
- Commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
- Willingness to learn; collaborative team player with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work with minimal direction and employ excellent judgment and professionalism at all times.
