Schedule: Full-Time 8-hour shifts/week
Shift: Day Shift, including some weekends
Location: AdventHealth Daytona Beach - 301 Memorial Medical Parkway, Daytona Beach, FL 32117
The role you’ll contribute:
Test assigned adult and geriatric members, assess their abilities, and assist patients in making adequate progress in the exercise/rehab program for that individual. Explain all modes of exercise used within Cardiac/Pulmonary rehab programs and be able to assist patients with each modality. Monitor patients, document progress and maintain equipment.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
- Possess the knowledge and skills to explain all modes of exercise used within the Cardiac/Pulmonary rehab programs and be able to assist patients with each modality (treadmill, nustep, upper body ergometer, recumbent bike and stationary bike).
- Monitor patients while exercising including HR, B/P, 02 saturation and telemetry.
- Assist with daily documentation and document progress of patients through monthly/quarterly progress notes.
- Equipment maintenance including cleaning equipment once per day and reporting all problems to be repaired.
- Other duties as assigned by the department coordinator.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- BLS certification required
