VCA Monte Vista Animal Hospital is seeking an Experienced Veterinary Assistant (EVA) with a solid work ethic to join our team. We have been serving the Concord/Clayton area with compassionate veterinary care for over 20 years. We are proudly AAHA accredited, cat friendly, and practice hands free radiology. We have one full-time permanent DVM and highly skilled relief DVM's who contribute to the positive culture and teamwork which is a constant in our daily practice. We are dedicated to provide compassionate Hometown Care with exceptional clinical expertise to help pets live long healthy lives! Each team member is equally important in helping our patients and clients.

We are seeking an Experienced Veterinary Assistant [EVA] to join our team.
In this position, you will be supporting our Doctors and Technician team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Your mission will be to win the confidence of every pet parent by delivering an outstanding client experience so we may provide exceptional care to every patient.

The skills that you will be utilizing include, but are not limited to:

• Physical examinations and patient assessment
• Anesthesia monitoring
• Surgical preparation and assisting
• Dentistry
• Radiology
• Laboratory work
• Venipuncture
• Catheter placement
• Pharmacy
• Patient recovery
• Use fear free handling with patients while preforming treatments
• Assist the doctors with appointments
• Compassionate care of our hospitalized animals

VCA Animal Hospitals offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including Medical/Dental/Vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, pet care discounts, paid vacation, holidays and sick days, health and well-being programs that provide resources and training. Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The pay range for the EVA is $24-$28.
