CARE Animal Hospital is looking for a Full-time Veterinary Technician to add to its team. CARE Animal Hospital has been a vital part of the Arlington Heights community since 1970 providing exceptional care for pets and their owners. CARE’s state-of-the-art facility is perfect to help you enhance your own personal skills, learn, and grow as technology within the Veterinary community changes. We are equipped with a digital x-ray system (both full body and dental), CT Scanner, ultrasound, laboratory (ProCyte Dx, Catalyst One, SediVue Dx, Vetscan Imagyst), dental suite, surgery suite, a rehabilitation facility (pool, underwater treadmill, laser therapy), and a full boarding facility.

Responsibilities include:
-IV Catheter placement, phlebotomy, cystocentesis
-Lab/microscope skills
-Digital radiology, Progeny experience a plus
-Dental Prophylaxis
-Anesthetic patient monitoring
-Animal restraint
-Medication administration/Filling prescriptions
-Electronic medical keeping, use of Cornerstone a plus
-Client Education
-Assist and perform other tasks as delegated

Ideal candidates should be team players, have a strong work ethic, good communication skills, have a high stress tolerance, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment dealing with general exams to emergencies. At least 2 years of veterinary technician experience in a general practice setting required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
