Experienced Veterinary Technician (Long Beach, Bixby Knolls)

Seeking a highly dependable, hard-working and flexible Veterinary Technician, RVT or LVT. Utilize your skills and advance your career working in a fast paced 6-doctor, state-of-the-art veterinary hospital in Long Beach. Applicant must be a team player with excellent veterinary hospital skills, self-starter, and the ability to multi-task!

The ideal candidate:
Must possess at least 3+ years experience working as a veterinary technician
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Possess exceptional customer service skills
Is a people's person and loves working with animals
Is detail oriented and self-starter
Proficiency in all aspects of technical skills (but are not limited to)
Monitoring and recovery
Placing IV catheter
Anesthesia induction
Digital radiology
Animal restraint
Phlebotomy

Dentistry
Cystocentesis
Ultrasound I-Stat and other in-house lab equipment

Requirements

- Three to Five year experience in a veterinary treatment area

- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Computer proficiency

- Must be able to work weekends and evenings (office opens Mon-Sat 8am-6pm)

- Knowledge of AviMark software - is a BIG Plus!

- English / Spanish - preferred!
