You will perform installation, alteration, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and related equipment. Responsibilities also include Facility equipment repair, plumbing, pipe fitting, and rough carpentry.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Activities may include, but are not limited to:

• Analyze malfunctions in electrical systems and equipment and perform required repairs.
• Perform mechanical and electrical installation of new equipment or machinery.
• Perform ongoing electrical facility maintenance and repair as required.
• Perform assigned tasks relating to maintenance of equipment, buildings and grounds.
• Plan tasks and obtain materials necessary to accomplish specific assignments.
• Maintain knowledge and proficiency of current electrical codes.
• As a member of a production support team; train, assist, and support other team members in problem solving and meeting department goals. Continuously review current processes and search out methods to improve product/process quality, reduce waste, rework, and unnecessary work that adds no value to the work or process.
• Perform general housekeeping tasks and waste removal within the department/group.
• Based on business need, assist/support in other job functions within scope and ability.
• Practice, participate and support all Safety policies and programs.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required. Technical degree or equivalent preferred.
• Eight years electrical work experience required.
• Demonstrated experience in Schematic reading, Volt Ohm Meter, Amp Meters, pressure and vacuum gauges; associated hand and power equipment required.
• Advanced knowledge and experience with AC voltage and power distribution.
• Ability to work independently in a safe and timely manner, including PPE, LOTO, Arc Flash and CPR.
• Must have good color vision
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. overhead and maintain continuous lifting/moving of 25 lbs. On occasion lift 90 lbs. waist high with mechanical assistance or the help of another employee.
• Must be able to obtain Material Handling License to operate Verti-Lifts and Forklift
• Must have one or more of the following:
  • Successful completion of an approved apprenticeship program.
  • Electrical Journeyman’s license (State of Ohio)
  • Master Electrician Certification
  • Successful completion of an approved electrical trade school

WORKING CONDITIONS: Manufacturing work environment. Exposure to heated equipment, dust, oil, cleaning solvents, and noise. Frequent bending and stooping. Must wear department required safety equipment.
