Job description
Ensures that the offices, residential facilities and vehicles of the ARC are properly maintained and available for use by the staff for the Individuals. Assists in the maintenance, repairing and monitoring of all properties owned and operated by the ARC of Martin County. Conducts vehicle safety training and inspections as required and necessary.
Essential Job Functions:
- Maintains all residential properties, office facilities, storage structures and vehicles belonging to the ARC.
- Ensures safety inspections and safety training are provided for all ARC vehicles.
- Provides and documents vehicle maintenance.
- Assures compliance withal building regulations per the Agency for Persons with Disabilities, the Department of Children and Families and/or other governing agencies.
- Consults with the management team to develop a yearly maintenance plan for each residential property.
- Performs installs and repairs required in the following focus areas: roofing, HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, appliances, lawn/garden, irrigation, misc. construction, cleaning and disinfecting.
- Maintains septic systems.
- Maintains HVAC systems.
- Develops and documents regularly scheduled property inspections.
- Obtains and reviews competitive buds when unable to perform essential duties and recommends contractors for outside services performed for the ARC properties.
- Supervises outside contractors.
- Performs other duties of a similar nature of level.

Education and Experience
Minimum Criteria:
- High School Diploma of GED or 10 years plus experience in a skilled construction trade can substitute for a High School Diploma
- Five (5) years of progressive building and vehicle maintenance/repair experience
