Job description
Assists Facility Director in coordinating facilities division. Leads maintenance and housekeeping teams assuring high standards of building maintenance including preventative. Is committed to continually improving quality of services provided. Implementing thorough systems of preventive maintenance, equipment monitoring, safety and security management, repairs, cleanliness, and facility improvements. He/She/They assist the Maintenance and Housekeeping teams in assuring the continual availability of utilities and facility services. Leads purchasing and inventory management for the division.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Knowledge and Skills
- 5+ years’ experience in facilities management of maintenance, engineering, and housekeeping in multifamily communities preferred.
- 3+ years’ experience in supervising hourly employees preferred.
- Knowledge of maintenance and housekeeping methods and technologies, and ability to interpret technical drawings and contracts.
- Knowledge of building code requirements and scheduling methods
- Proficient using technology including MS office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of knowledge tools. Competency and efficiency in all aspects of maintenance operations including electrical, plumbing, pool maintenance, appliance repair, carpentry, and painting.
- Prefer relevant professional certifications such as CPO and CAMT. (Certificate for Apartment Maintenance Technicians (CAMT) demonstrates to employers that you possess the technical skills to successfully and accurately solve the maintenance issues that come up in residential communities, Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification is given by the health departments to operate a public swimming pool or hot tub/spa.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a constant eye on quality.
- Knowledge of jobsite safety practices required.
