Apollo Career Center is accepting applications for the position of:
FAMILY & CONSUMER SCIENCE INSTRUCTOR
(satellite program housed at Bluffton High School)
STARTING DATE: August 2023
REPORTS TO: Apollo H.S. Ass istant Principal & Bluffton H.S. Principal
SALARY RANGE: • b a s e d o n a p p r o p riate salary schedule, commensurate with education
and experience
- life insurance

WORK WEEK/YEAR: 183-day school year calendar
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • possess, or able to obtain, an Ohio career-technical license in the Family
and Consumer Science area.
- positive role model for youth
- ability to plan for and teach students with varying cognitive and physical
- ability to pass BCI/FBI background checks
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • ability to plan and develop an instructional family and consumer science
- exceptional planning, organizational, computer and communication skills
- sincere interest and ability to relate effectively with students, parents
- teaching experience in the area of family and consumer science
RESPONSIBILITIES: • develop curriculum and teach family and consumer science to high
school students with varying learning styles
