Under broad supervision of the Baby LUV (Lowndes Unique Victories) /PAT (Parents As Teachers) Georgia Strong Families (GSF) Healthy Start local Program Manager, the Fatherhood Engagement Specialist provides a broad range of social services to patients/clients/consumers and their families.

Responsibilities/Duties Include:

• 
  Identify, enroll, and provide support services to eligible fatherhood participants in the program.
• Provide education and direct services to men participating in the Fatherhood Initiative program and the Preconception Project.
• Establish and engage new and existing collaborative community partnerships to support the Fatherhood Initiative.
• Attend all trainings, workshops, and conferences pertaining to the Fatherhood Initiative, and become certified in the National Fatherhood Institute 24/7 Dad Curriculum.
• Engage and participate in recruitment and outreach activities.
• Complete eligibility screening, intake, and assessments with each eligible participant.
• Will link participants to resources within the community.
• Track and document attendance/participation and ensure delivery of appropriate incentives to program participants.
• Coordinate weekly Fatherhood sessions and facilitate the delivery of Healthy Start program sessions to meet curriculum requirements.
• Plan and facilitate quarterly male group sessions.
• Will input data and documentation for case files into the designated data system.
• Will maintain and submit all required program documentation in a timely manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned and necessary for successful program administration and delivery including outreach, referrals, and intake of clients.

Bachelor's Degree in a social service-related field from an accredited college or university AND One year of experience in a social service related field OR High School Diploma or GED AND Three years of experience in a social services related position OR One year of experience at the lower-level Social Services Tech 2 (SST011) or position equivalent.
