Job Summary
Immediate Opening for Experienced Fedex Delivery Driver! (Serious Applicants Only) The Willemy Group, Inc. has a position available now for full-time delivery driver delivering packages from the FedEx Station in Lowell to routes in the beautiful and growing Siloam Springs area. This position is currently temporary, with the strong possibility to become permanent. Applicants should have experience driving large vehicles (see qualifications listed below). Deliveries are made Monday through Saturday. Individual shifts vary. As part of the trusted, dependable, and elite FedEx history of service, drivers may deliver 150+ stops per day consisting of 160+ packages. Work day begins at 8:00 a.m. and normally ends by 5:00 p.m. or earlier dependent upon the day’s delivery schedule.
Responsibilities and Duties
Physical Requirements: Frequently required to lift and carry over 100 lbs. and occasionally transport packages of various size and weight up flights of stairs. Use of hand truck is encouraged. Must be able to reach, bend, and stoop to access packages while entering and exiting vehicle and use navigation system. Basic typing and computer skills are needed, and frequent walking required. Good motor skills and eye/hand coordination is a must.
Safety: Team members complete initial as well as ongoing safety training.
Qualifications and Skills
If the following applies to you, The Willemy Group needs YOU! Potential Team Members must meet the following requirements in order to qualify for the position:
- 1 Year of verifiable commercial driving experience in the last 3 years or 5 years of experience within the last 10 years. Experience may include delivery driving and/or driving large vehicles.
- Pass a Background Check, Motor Vehicle Records Check, Drug Test, and DOT Physical.
- Be at least age 21 or older
- Have valid driver’s license and be able to pass driver’s test in FedEx vehicle.
- Have excellent customer service and communication skills. Military experience is a plus, and veterans are appreciated and encouraged to apply.
- Have a strong sense of integrity, loyalty, and honesty with a team mentality that understands when the team does well, you do well.
