Members of the Field Learning Team develop and facilitate learning experiences to Franchisees and internal partners. This team collaborates to develop and update curriculum to meet the current business needs including new products, technology, systems, and programs. The Field Learning Manager delivers training, both virtually and in-person, for the Franchise Learning Program (FLP), and supports the process to identify, certify, train and support Certified Training Shops. The Field Learning Manager will also use their experience and expertise to support our Franchisees through implementing and training national initiatives. RESPONSIBILITIES

Day to Day Accountabilities

  • Facilitate and deliver inspiring synchronous virtual and in-person learning experiences consistently using effective adult learning principles

  • Serves as an operation expert that maintains an excellent working knowledge and a high level of proficiency in the performance of all areas of restaurant operations and production

  • Proactively collaborates with the Senior Manager to create, update, and execute learning programs for all learners

  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of scheduled learning center and in-market sessions

  • Provide and document behavior-based feedback for learners, both positive and constructive, verbally and in writing, along with recommendations around performance

  • Responsible for communicating pass/fail class completion status to learners and appropriate parties with integrity

  • Lead and manage Certified Training Shop certification process and relationships partnering with local field teams and Host Franchisees to ensure consistent execution and oversight of the certification process and supporting of learning programs

  • Seeks feedback from learners about their experience for continuous improvement of the learning program

  • Acts as learning ambassador for new franchisees, introducing them to processes, resources, systems and tools to support their new restaurant opening or transfer and build sustainable people and training systems

Project Accountabilities

  • Responsible to keep curriculum current through partnership with Instructional Design team to incorporate new products, guest service initiatives, and new processes and systems by gathering feedback on learning experiences and working with cross functional partners

  • Responsible for managing curriculum project to stay within budget for materials, products, and supplies

  • Responsible for proactively gathering data through surveys and other resources to enable effective decision making and to improve the quality and effectiveness of training

  • Partner with Franchise Business Consultants to provide support for restaurant openings with the objective to gain perspective and incorporate into learning experiences

  • Collaborate with cross functional partners by attending Brand meetings to stay up to date with new processes and procedures

  • Displays courage to challenge ideas and resolve issues

  • Lead a variety of projects as the point person on the team

Miscellaneous

  • Manage expenses with accountability and follow all policies and required administrative procedures

  • Supports learning center facilities management with and through third-party vendors

  • Show flexibility when appropriate and can evolve quickly to business needs

  • Partner with Learning and Deployment Managers on readiness visits and other network strategy meetings to build relationships with field teams and franchisees

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent in-restaurant and/or retail management

  • Training, Human Resources, or multi-unit management experience

  • 5-7 years Experience in restaurant and/or retail training, Operations, or multi-unit management

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS or ABILITIES

  • Strong facilitation/presentation skills in a classroom or restaurant/retail setting

  • Ability to consult, influence and coach adult learners

  • Strategic thinker with abilities to lead vision and purpose while making decisions and solving problems

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience presenting to business partners and cross-functional teams

  • Ability to influence without authority

  • Problem solving and ability to work through conflict management and influence

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced setting

  • Ability to build strong peer and customer relationships

  • Ability to manage against established timelines and budgets

  • Ability to effectively create and foster cross-functional working relationships with influential clients, both internal and external

  • Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office products including Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook or equivalent

  • Ability to conduct meetings and facilitate effective and engaging trainings in person and virtually via Zoom or equivalent

  • Ability to work in home office, third party locations, in-field, and restaurants utilizing disciplined time management

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers to feel and handle, reach with arms and hands, talk and hear

  • While performing the duties of this job the employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel and crouch

  • While performing this job the employee may be required to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods of time in a restaurant and outdoor environment
