Tentamus North America is seeking a Controller in Lehi, UT to manage the full cycle accounting and financial reporting process.

Tentamus is a global network of full-service accredited analytical laboratories providing crucial quality and safety analysis for clients using proven methods of chemistry and microbiology. Main responsibilities:
- Manage cashflow: forecasting need, planning for foreign currency needs in advance, and alerting upper management for cash flow deficiencies.
- Audit liaison: meeting with external auditors, being receptive to findings, implementing reporting changes, and communicating to upper management or the board of directors audit outcomes.
- Monitor internal controls: gathering audit feedback, working with managers on designing proper control functions, and gathering data on the effectiveness of the internal control.
- Budget preparation: feeding individuals around the company data and information on historical spending across a variety of general ledger coding.
- Minimize financial risk: being aware of current processes, understanding company weaknesses, engaging employees with training, and openly communicating areas of opportunity to better safeguard assets.
- Financial compliance: understanding external reporting requirements, ensuring proper resources are on hand to meet those requirements and overseeing the final product being delivered to external parties.
- Financial reporting: being aware of recent changes to financial reporting practices, overseeing a staff that directly contributes to the financial statement preparation process, and sometimes certifying that the financial statements have been accurately prepared to the best of their knowledge.
- Identify cost savings: identify operational efficiencies, how staff can be best utilized, what reporting functions are being duplicated, and what resources the department really needs.
- Mentor financial staff: being a leader to direct reports by involving them in higher-level discussions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, 8 years of relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Competency in GAAP, IAS, and IFRS, management and financial accounting, and root-cause analysis frameworks
- CPA a plus.
- Advanced skills in Excel, QuickBooks, SAP, etc.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Excellent attention to quality, self-motivated, and a drive to succeed
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and assignments
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively, both verbally and orally, to management or other team members
