Provides instruction and assistance to sustain high levels of readiness.

Provides detailed, authoritative explanations and instructions on significance and use of regulations and policies, as well as ensuring those policies and procedures are followed to ensure accountability.

Be able to follow the customer's procedures and ensure tasks are completed timely and accurately. Requires a self-motivated individual with a strong attention to detail and a can-do attitude.

Provide financial analytical services for approximately 6 budget areas.

Input financial data for budget reports and maintain historical financial forecasting data and records.

Review, analyze, and document project funding data for obligation and expenditure balances, determine current rate of expenditure, and identify cost factors that may influence the rate of expenditures, and historical expenditure rates to be captured in the monthly Navy DSRC Financial Status Report.

Enter financial and project data for purchase requests, budgets, expenditures, appropriations, and obligations into the Navy DSRC business office management information system (MIS) in addition to generating reports from the system (estimated 10 reports generated weekly with an additional 5 specialized reports monthly).

Participate in quarterly budget reviews for informational purposes but may be required to clarifications on data contained in the financial reports.

Review and analyze project financial information and provide internal tracking of procurements and invoices to identify discrepancies and/or issues with project cost, schedule, and performance to be documented in the monthly health report.

Requirements include bachelor's degree in related field, and Three years' experience or 15 years of accounting/financial experience.
