Description of Responsibilities: The Financial Analyst position is intended to provide timely accounting, financial, budget, and analytic review information to Administration and to perform necessary accounting duties that contribute to the overall financial well-being of the organization. The position will have a mix of analytic, budget, forecasting and traditional accounting functions with varying degrees of complexity. The position is responsible for providing high level accounting related support to the Chief Financial Officer and the Executive Team as well as detailed and accurate accounting functions in support of the Finance department’s goals. The position is intended to provide constructive interaction with our Business Intelligence team.

Physical demands: Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Employee is frequently required to walk, sit, stand or kneel and occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop. Must have ability to sit for longer periods at a computer. Employee must be able to travel between AHS locations. Possible potential exposure to communicable disease. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. AHS may make reasonable accommodations to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Required Education & Experience:

• Education: Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Degree/Level: Bachelors
• Minimum Experience: 2 Years Accounting or Finance.

Preferred Education, Experience & Licensure:

• Preferred Education: MBA.
• Preferred Certifications: CPA or CMA
• Preferred Degree/Level: Masters
• Preferred Experience: 5 - 10 Years Accounting or Finance.

• Must be knowledgeable regarding patient health information and HIPAA compliance.
• Must be organized and demonstrate the ability to follow guidelines.
• Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must demonstrate the ability to be self-directed.
• Must demonstrate the ability to follow the organization’s confidentiality and security rules.

Required Skills:

• Must be a self-motivator and possess exceptional organizational, time management and project management skills.
• Must be capable of independent judgment and action.
• Must possess knowledge and ability to operate standard office equipment including scanner, computer, calculator, copy machine, fax, and multi-line telephone.
• Must possess working knowledge of Windows based computer applications including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Teams, and ability to access the internet.
• High proficiency in MS Excel preferred.
• Prior knowledge of Sage Intacct and Martus preferred.
• Must be able to problem-solve.
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision; plan own work schedule effectively and multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced setting.
• Must be able to multi-task and prioritize workload in a busy environment with frequent interruptions.
• Ability to take on additional duties when necessary.
