EquipmentShare is searching for a Financial Systems Analyst for the corporate office in Columbia, Missouri to help us drive profitability through data-driven analysis. This role can be remote, or sit out of our locations in Columbia, Denver or Kansas City.

Job Description
- This person will serve as a financial systems bridge for our growing business analytics team, creating programmatic solutions to help ensure business data accurately feeds to the company's data warehouse and ERP. Experience working with standard business workflows (purchases, payables, receivables and resulting data forms) is a plus! This position will be reporting to our Business Analytics team and work closely with field leadership, engineering and corporate accounting functions to design and implement solutions for a functional and efficient data pipeline.
Primary Responsibilities of a Financial Systems Analyst
- Use your strong development and analytical skills to solve business problems across the company and its systems
- Analyze a wide range of data, and turn that data into action, whether that looks like process improvements, best business practices or other data-backed solutions
- Identify trends, correlations and patterns in data, and present findings to stakeholder
- Experience in detecting and correcting for erroneous, corrupted, or inaccurate data
- Develop inter-departmental relationships supporting departments such as Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Corporate Accounting. Advise users and developers on correct handling in accordance with GAAP and provide info on system capabilities.
Skills & Qualifications
- Must be qualified to work in the United States - we are not sponsoring any candidates at this time.
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Accounting/Finance or related field
- Knowledge and proven experience using an analytical language like Python or R to develop business solutions
- Expert-level SQL skills
- Expert-level Excel skills
- At least 2 years of experience or education focused on data analysis
- BI tool experience (Looker, Power BI, Tableau) a plus
- Working knowledge of financial data: forecasting, reporting, and analysis experience, a basic understanding of financial data, financial systems, and general business processes that feed them is a plus.
- Ability to swiftly extract key insights from data
- Proven ability to approach complex problems with curiosity and an analytical mindset
- Adapt quickly, manage competing projects and challenge the status quo
