SAPUI5 Fiori Developer

Basic Job Description

The SAPUI5 Fiori Developer will design, code, unit test, debug, and implement SAPUI5 Fiori applications. This position will work as part of a SAP Development team.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

• Design, code, unit test, debug and implement SAPUI5 Fiori applications while working closely with functional teams
• Resolve open development issues and make decisions about alternate technical approaches
• Proactively provide work status
• Follow development standards and methodology
• Ensure that documentation is properly maintained
• Support the change control process
• Conduct code reviews with peers
• Support application upgrades
• Work Defects
• Develop test plans for new or modified programs
• Test, debug, implement, and document fixes
• Perform issue resolution and root cause analysis
• Provide advanced problem solving and technical support, including on-call critical support

Qualifications & Skills

• Working knowledge of SAP DIMP primarily in an Aerospace and Defense setting a plus (not required)
• Minimum five years of hands on experience in developing SAPUI5/Fiori applications
• Good understanding of FIORI concept, system architecture, FIORI Launch pad configuration and app integration
• Experience in OData Service consumption on UI using GET, PUT, POST methods
• Experience in development on WebIDE
• Experience extending SAP standard functionality using ABAP Objects and other modern SAP technologies
• Strong understanding and implementation experience using the scaled agile framework (SAFe) methodology
• Available to support on-call system support
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills
• Working knowledge of system development methodology
• Working knowledge of the OSS process
• Extensive experience in HTML5, Java Script, CSS3, JSON, XML, and MVC Development framework
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for design, creation and testing of programs
• Experience with the interface designs and APIs required to communicate with external systems
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment, customer support environment and with all levels of the organization
