STOP! Do you like working outdoors? Are you looking for summer employment? We have the job for you!-Advance Employment is currently hiring valuable employees to service road construction crews in Michigan.
Road construction flagging is a seasonal position during the spring, summer and fall months. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Holding stop/slow signs, communicating efficiently to motorists and crew, following proper safety measures according to MDOT standards.
This position starts at $18/hour and pays $19 if you travel more than 50 miles one way from your home office. This position is outdoors and long hours. Overtime pay is any time after 40 hours during a pay period. To qualify for this position, you must have a valid Driver s license, current proof of car insurance, and a clean criminal background.
This position does require that you are available sunup to sundown seven days a week. You may not be required to work seven days a week but during busy season it is highly possible. Dispatch will try to rotate flaggers to distribute the workload evenly. We ask that any time off requests be placed ASAP as we are only permitted to guarantee 3 flaggers off at a time. This position is also weather permitting and this may also affect the number of hours you receive.
