Fleet Maintenance Coordinator
Looking for a talented Fleet Maintenance Coordinator to join our team, with proven leadership and management capabilities.
We are a fast growing very successful trucking company, have a full repair shop located in Henderson NV.
This position is both a technical and administrative role that provides support to our drivers and service team. The Fleet Maintenance Coordinator is the center of communication for service/repair activities and the liaison between drivers and the technicians.
The Fleet Maintenance Coordinator will collect data, monitor, plan and check the execution of the repairs on company equipment, handle the work orders , and prepare reports
Duties:
- Monitor the PM's on the fleet
- Answers service, repair and maintenance-related question via incoming phone calls, texts or e mails from drivers
- Schedule service appointments
- Monitor the orders
- Utilize all resources available on all units in for service to determine unit repair history
- Do daily yard equipment check
- Coordinate with dispatch, drivers and the shop the maintenance process in a timely manner
- Monitor and actively participate in the workflow through the shop with a focus on monitoring and communicating time and cost expectations
- Issue and receive purchase orders for shop requested by over the road drivers
- Handle the over the road repairs
Qualifications Needed:
- Knowledge of diesel truck and trailer repair and quality standards (experience and background in the field - is preferred)
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to write clearly and concisely
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and remain focused while maintaining a high level of workmanship
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to interact seamlessly with all levels of colleagues (both external and internal)
- Proficient with computers; ability to utilize all required systems and software
- Class A Driver’s License is a plus
Education & Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in truck maintenance or repairs
- Experience in fleet maintenance and repairs is a plus
- semi truck technicians or mechanics are encouraged to apply
Physical Demand:
- Able to sit, stand, kneel, bend over, and walk for a full day
Compensation:
- Base rate depends on qualifications
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $42,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
