Flooring Restoration Project Manager:

This position entails interacting with our customers, which include General Contractors, Insurance Adjusters and Homeowners. You will spend much of your day in your car traveling to job sites for measurements or material sales showings. You will also spend much of your time at a computer inputting sketches, doing take offs to determine quantities, and writing estimates. This position is a Sales position. Long term we would hope you would develop new business, but in the short term your sales leads will be provided to you. We get a considerable amount of potential work from our existing customer base. This position is part construction estimating and part flooring sales. We have 2 customers on every job, the GC/insurance company who provides us the leads, and the homeowners who need help selecting material and getting their home back together. The ideal candidate will have flooring product knowledge, as well as a construction background. Although neither are a requirement, having at least 1 of the 2 would be of great benefit.

We are looking for a self- starter, someone who is well organized, provides outstanding customer service, and follows through.

About Carpeteria Carpet One

Carpeteria Carpet One Floor & Home is a 3rd generation, family owned and operating flooring company; serving the San Diego community since 1974. We merchandise and install carpet, hardwood, laminate, luxury vinyl plank, and tile through our two locations in San Diego (Miramar Road) and Linda Vista (Morena Boulevard). In addition, we also service the following industries; commercial, restoration, and trade.



Duties

Although not an all-inclusive list, the following are some of the duties and expectations for this position:

• Meeting GCs and adjusters for onsite inspections.
• Assisting customers with their flooring choice.
• Appointment setting and driving to customers' homes.
• Measuring and layouts of room diagrams for customers and projects.
• Calculating estimates and presenting selections to clients.
• Writing sales orders and processing the necessary paperwork for that order.
• Works with the customer from beginning to end of the sale by communicating in a timely and professional manner with customers on all requests or concerns.
• Following up with your customer after completion of the job.
• Using computer database to research availability of merchandise and to process orders.
• Stay up to date on the wide selection of products we offer, along with specifications and warranties provided by each.
• Works effectively with other employees.
• Provide a high level of customer service.
• Networking regularly in the community.
• Building client relationships.

Requirements

Qualifications:

The skills and abilities we're seeking include:

• Self-motivated and internally driven to excel in your position and career.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must have strong knowledge Microsoft Office programs and be willing to learn our operating system.
• Must have access to reliable transportation to get to work and to visit customers' homes.
• Must be willing and able to attend some off-site training.
• Retail sales experience is a plus but not required.
• Professionalism, to include dependability, accountability, and punctuality.
• Time management skills for juggling multiple (and sometimes competing) deadlines and deliverables.
• Xactimate estimating experience is a plus but not required.
