RESPONSIBLE FOR:
All areas serving F&B including but not limited to Main Dining Room, Camp Sarika, Private Dining, Desert Lounge, Picnics, Special Events, Wine Cellar, etc.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
To ensure excellence in service and product in all aspects of Wine, Food & Beverage.
Financial
- Establish the Departmental Annual Operating Budget in advance for approval by General Manager and Financial Controller.
- Ensure that the Departmental Operations Budget is strictly adhered to and that all costs are strictly controlled.
Administration
- Attend meetings and briefings with other Department Heads as determined by the General Manager.
- Ensure that all departmental reports and correspondence are completed punctually and accurately.
- Develop Food & Beverage policies as needed.
- Closely work with Executive Chef in alignment of both F&B and Kitchen teams.
As a Food and Beverage Director in a high-end resort like Amangiri, some of the essential job duties may include:
- Assisting and executing the resort's food and beverage strategy: The Food and Beverage Director would be responsible for leading their teams strategic plan for the resort's food and beverage operations. This would involve assisting the Executive Chef with their plan of the menus in the role out of said menu.
- Managing food and beverage operations: The Food and Beverage Director would oversee the day-to-day operations of the resort's restaurants and bars, in-room dining, private dining and pool service operations as to ensuring that they operate efficiently and effectively. This would include managing food preparation, inventory management, and customer service.
- Recruiting and managing staff: The Food and Beverage Director would be responsible for hiring and managing a team of highly skilled and experienced chefs, bartenders, servers, and other food and beverage staff. They would ensure that staff members are well-trained and provide exceptional service to guests.
- Budgeting and financial management: The Food and Beverage Director would manage the budget for the resort's food and beverage operations. They would monitor expenses and revenue and ensure that financial targets are met.
- Maintaining high-quality standards: The Food and Beverage Director would be responsible for ensuring that the resort's food and beverage offerings meet the highest standards of quality and service. They would also be responsible for ensuring that the resort complies with all relevant health and safety regulations.
- Guest satisfaction: The Food and Beverage Director would work closely with the resort's management team to ensure that guests receive exceptional service and that their dining experience is memorable. This would include responding to guest feedback and resolving any issues promptly.
- Collaboration with other departments: The Food and Beverage Director would work closely with other departments, such as sales and marketing as well as hold a tight collaboration with the Groups & Events department in the planning and execution of corporate and social events. All to develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns and promotions that support the resort's food and beverage offerings.
