We are hiring an Food Safety Inspector/Food Inspector for one of our clients in West Palm Beach, FL.

Job Description:

• Performs inspections of food service operations.
• Performs regulatory inspections of public schools, private schools, assisted living facilities, residential group care facilities, migrant labor camps, residential migrant housing, and mobile home parks/recreational vehicle parks. Conducts follow-up inspections.
• Investigates complaints of foodborne illnesses, completes related documentation, makes appropriate referrals, and conducts required follow-up activities
• Investigates sanitary nuisance complaints ,recommends and enforces appropriate corrective actions, and makes appropriate referrals to relevant agencies
• The position requires certification as an environmental health professional (CEHP) in the area of Food Hygiene.
• Prefers environmental health professional certification
• Food hygiene inspections cannot be completed until the training and certification is obtained.

Education required:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in environmental health, environmental science, or a physical or a biological science.
• Major course work is no less than 30 semester hours or 40 quarter hours of class work.

Work hours:

• Mon-Fri 8:00 – 5:00 PM
