Brief Summary of Work for this Position
The "Food Service Equipment Maintenance Technician performs all aspects of repair and maintenance, including diagnostics evaluations of all food services equipment used in dining locations located throughout the Campus community. Will perform repairs, maintenance, and installation on a variety of equipment used in food services.
Must be able to lift 60 pounds plus, able to stand for long periods, kneel, stoop, and bend as needed to perform the work.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work. Some positions may require special licenses or certifications.
Optional Guidelines:
- Experience in the trade(s) areas related to the area of assignment may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred education, professional skills and experience
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and/or gas systems preferred
- Experience in refrigeration a plus
- Two years experience in food service equipment repair and maintenance preferred
- Additional preference for Licensure or professional Certification in any area of food service equipment maintenance, including Electrical, HVAC/Refrigeration, and gas
Required Certifications or licensure
Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
