Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Move controls to safely maneuver and navigate a propane powered sit down forklift
• Unload, lift, stack, sort, transport, and load pallets of canned salmon between loading, processing, and designated storage areas
• Complete understanding of labeling theory and mechanical procedures
• Working directly with label line crew & office personnel regarding code changes, lots, and truck quantities
• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the inventory control process
• Perform routine fueling
• Maintain a safe, clean, orderly, clutter free work area by performing housekeeping duties throughout the day
• Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or product to be moved.
• Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled and enters information in electronic scanner
• Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers.
• Loads or unloads trucks as required
• Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together.
• Performs daily inspection on forklift.
• Ability to effectively use the slipsheet equipment
• Performs all other position - related duties as assigned or requested.

Education/Training:

High School graduate and or equivalent required and/or any combination of education or work experience that provides the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform essential functions in a can labeling warehouse.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
