Forklift Operator/Material Handler
Job description
As a Forklift Operator/Material Handler with Liberty Packaging Fort Worth, you will be responsible for a combination of product handling duties including stacking and transporting of raw materials and finished goods.
This full-time Forklift Operator/Material Handler position reports directly to the Shipping/Receiving Manager and is located at Liberty Packaging’s manufacturing plant in Dallas, Texas.
Required Skills
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete and document a forklift inspection form before the start of shift and when operating a new forklift
- Inform supervisor with information of needed repairs based on daily inspection
- Locate raw materials using production tickets
- Deliver appropriate stock to machines safely and on time
- Remove finished goods from machines
- Unload and load tractor trailers as needed for workflow
- Maintain neat, orderly, and safe stacks of stock in storage areas
- Complete necessary paperwork in an accurate and timely manner
- Maintain accurate location of stock in the storage area
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping
- Additional duties may be assigned by management
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:
- Forklift Operator Certification
- At least two years of previous experience in an industrial / manufacturing environment operating a forklift
- Have the ability to complete basic math skills and computer knowledge

- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work in hot, humid, and cold manufacturing environment
- Must be able to work in crowded spaces for 4+ hours per shift
- Must be able to bend and stoop for 7+ hours per shift
- Must be able to stand for 6+ hours per shift
- Must be able to walk for 6+ hours per shift
- Must be able to reach and grasp up to 6+ hours per shift
