We are hiring IMMEDIATELY for Foster Care Residential Contract Manager to join one of our community mental health providers!

*2-Year Live-in contract

*5-Bed Adult Foster Psychiatric Home

*Approximately $10K per month minus expenses

* Residential Manager lives on-site

Summary:

The resident manager will be responsible for the in-home care of the individuals placed at the mental health foster home who have severe and persistent mental illness. The resident manager is to assure that all of the clients' living needs are met. The resident manager will work in conjunction with the staff to provide appropriate mental health care to the residents. The resident manager will also be responsible for all of the household operations, including the oversight and scheduling of relief staff. Overall, the resident manager will do what is necessary to create a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment that promotes each resident's well-being and encourages their abilities to become self-sufficient.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assist in the implementation of service plans designed to improve the overall independent functioning of each resident.
  • Ensure the basic personal needs of each resident are met (nutrition, hygiene, etc.) through skill training, modeling, and other teaching methods.
  • Ensure that residents receive necessary professional care (medical appointments, counseling, prescription refills, etc.).
  • Ensue that the house is maintained in a sanitary, safe, and attractive manner.
  • Maintain complete and accurate client records.
  • Coordinate relief workers to provide supervision when the resident manager is gone.
  • Promote emotionally and physically healthy activities with the residents so that they are able to lead a satisfying life with positive social connections to others,
  • Communicate and cooperate with other treatment care staff through meetings, clinical documentation phone calls and electronic messaging to assure continuity of care, effective operation of the home and compliance with licensure requirements.
  • Disperse and track medications given to residents.
  • Know and follow policies and procedures related to the operation of the program as needed.
  • Resident manager will follow all Oregon Health Authority guidelines related to the home and the care of the residents. They will also be responsible for ensuring that the home meets all of the licensing requirements of a mental health foster home.

AUXILIARY JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintain proficiency by attending trainings, meetings, and meeting with others in areas of responsibility.
  • Provide client transportation as needed.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have equivalent to high school diploma.
  • Must have the ability to write accurately and complete client records as required.
  • The contractor must be able to interact with the residents and treatment staff members in a manner that promotes the overall well-being of the residents.
  • The contractor must be able to communicate with clients and staff, both orally and in written form, in a clear, concise, and reasonable manner.
  • The contractor must be able to complete credentialling as a Qualified Mental Health Associate within two years of starting this contract.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/LICENSES:

Possession of a valid driver's license, ability to pass a mandatory criminal records check, ability to pass a Department of Human Services check on any previous reports or allegations of client abuse.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The contractor will be required to supervise and coordinate the scheduling for any relief staff. The contractor will not be required to be on site while the relief staff is working; however, they are responsible to ensure that the relief staff is providing the same effective services that the resident manager would be if they were on site.
