Position: Friendly Visitor Status: Part time
Reports to: Case Manager Benefits: Non-Eligible

Date: 01/16/2022 Location: Greater Fall River/Taunton

POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Friendly Visitor will be committed to investing one's time to assist elders in their home and community. The goal is to provide support with socialization. community events, technology and errands to support living as independently as possible.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Demonstrates the ability to work collaboratively in a team approach
● To provide awareness of community and economic resources available to elders and their families, and how to access these resources
● Assist elders with maintaining independence and socially connected
● Flexibility in schedule to support individual needs of program participants
● Participate in meetings with community resources supporting participant
● Maintains compliance with all policies and procedures
● Maintain participants files and documentation of group attendance and content
● Participates in training, internal and community meetings, and individual supervision.
● Performs other job-related responsibilities as assigned.
● Meets with assigned participants 2-8 hours monthly
● Maintains a minimum of monthly contact with participants
● Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
● Ability to work independently
● Experience (lived or worked) with LGBTQ+ community
● Experience in drafting professional communications/emails
● Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google
● Experience with virtual meetings

REQUIREMENTS:
● Ability to meet with Community Providers in their place of business
● Valid driver's license
● Acceptable BRC/CORI/SORI
● Reliable transportation (must maintain adequate auto insurance)
● Transporting program participants
● Frequent phone contact

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Evening shift
  • Weekend availability
