We're looking for candidates who understand that front-end development is about more than CSS and JavaScript skills, but creativity and attention to detail. We involve our developers in all aspects of our projects – therefore we’re looking for self-starters and passionate thinkers who can provide valuable ideas upfront and ensure that design concepts can be implemented effectively. We don’t use bloated frameworks like Bootstrap or Foundation and pride ourselves on delivering lean, sleek web experiences.

Requirements:

As a front-end developer at Interactive Strategies, we care most about the passion and talent you bring to the table. With that being said, we would like you to have the following experience:

• 4+ years experience building complex, large-scale projects
• Proven, demonstrable knowledge of standards-compliant, responsive, HTML, CSS, and Vanilla JavaScript
• A portfolio or strong code samples showcasing your skillset
• Demonstrated experience with responsive coding techniques and patterns
• Strong understanding of usability and accessibility issues across all device types
• Experience with CSS preprocessors (SCSS, Sass, Less)
• Skilled with Figma and/or Adobe Creative Suite for preparing and extracting assets
• A good eye for clean design and typography

Highly Desired:

• Experience with git for version control
• Experience with package managers (Yarn, npm, Composer)
• Experience with build tools/task runners (Gulp, Webpack, Grunt)
• Experience integrating with PHP/MySQL, Drupal, and WordPress or other Headless CMS
• Experience with JavaScript MVC frameworks (React/Next, Vue/Nuxt, Ember, Angular, etc)
• Back-end development experience
