The Front of House Assistant roles at Young V&A will play a pivotal part in providing an exceptional, hands on, and joyful visitor experience. Front of House Assistants will work across all front of house functions including welcome, retail, galleries, membership, exhibitions, events, and the learning studio check in. You will be responsible for delivering an excellent visitor experience, highlighting our commercial offers, and making sure every visitor feels welcome and engaged with the Young V&A.

Contract Type

Full time (38 hours per week) and part time (16.3 hours per week or 18.5 hours per week)
available. Please express whether you would be interested in part time or full time work in your
application.

Full time roles will work approximately one weekend in two with a regular weekday off.

The part time roles will be 3 or 4 full days or lunch cover shifts per week including regular weekend shifts (approximately one in two). Hours are calculated over a six week rolling rota. All roles include regular Bank Holiday and weekend working. Occasional early morning and evening work is required.


Salary: £11.95 per hour (London Living wage)


Location: Young V&A, Bethnal Green, London E2 9PA with occasional travel between V&A London
sites. There will be regular travel to the South Kensington site and other London locations during your first three months.
