Our practice is seeking a Front Office Coordinator to provide exceptional patient service and ensure the needs of our valued patients are always met. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills as well as a strong, self-motivated work ethic. We are seeking a dynamic leader who is capable of undertaking a diverse range of important front office tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Telephone operations: answering, screening and forwarding calls; providing information and taking messages; managing office schedule (doctor schedule, office events, and patient appointment management which includes making, changing, cancelling, and confirming appointments)
- Greet visitors and callers, handle their inquiries, assist in their patient registration process, and direct them to the appropriate persons according to their needs
- Learn to operate new office technologies as they are implemented
- Memorize and use scripts effectively both over the phone and in person
- File and maintain patient records
- Collect, sort, distribute, and prepare mail, messages and courier deliveries
- Input data into computer
- Provide information about the practice (location, services, and coordination with other specialists and healthcare providers)
- Transmit information or documents to patients using computer, mail, or facsimile machine
- Balance credit transactions and provide basic financial clerical support duties
- Present cases to patients
- Maintain regular attendance and adhere to assigned work schedule and office policies
- Must be able to work both independently and cooperatively in team settings
- Occasionally there may be some travel, by car or plane, required in order to participate in continuing education or seminars
- Other duties and tasks, as assigned (ie. housekeeping tasks)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
