Job description
GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION:
In Summer 2020, Fitchburg State launched a relationship with Community Health Connections (CHC) to offer access to increased medical care for students. In Fall of 2023, a campus-wide survey was conducted to gather feedback from undergraduate day students about their knowledge of and experience with CHC. In spring 2023, we are conducting focus groups of 1) students who have accessed care with CHC and 2) students who have not yet accessed care with CHC to gather additional feedback and ensure the interpretation of the results of the survey is on target.
We are seeking student facilitators to participate in the development and facilitation of focus groups to gather and deepen this feedback. Student facilitators will contribute their unique insights as well as collect information from other students.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Vice President for Student Affairs and the Director of Assessment in finalizing the materials and the process.
- Develop and maintain computerized data files for all data to be collected
- Participate in focus group facilitation training (compensation included)
- Facilitate focus group discussions
- Transcribe focus group conversations
- Perform other duties as required
Job Requirements:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in using computer-based tools (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, NVivo, etc.)
- Oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organization, analytical, and interpersonal skills required
- Ability to structure task and follow up them
- Must practice strict confidentiality in this process
- Experience with Google Meet
- Must be dependable
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to interact and work with other students

Additional Information:
This is a non-benefited student only position.
Compensation & Time Commitment: The facilitator is a part-time hourly position at $15.00 per hour. There will be at least two training sessions (compensated) and 1-2 focus groups.
