What You Will Do: As the specialist in home furnishings, you create inspiration, enthusiasm, and excitement about Molbak’s products for our customers. You will learn to be an expert on Molbak’s furniture in order to help customers discover the styles that reflect their lives and help them design spaces that bring them joy. You will drive sales, customer loyalty, and carry on our brand reputation in the work you do each day on the retail floor. This is a seasonal, part time position (24-32 hrs/week- Sundays and Mondays are a must) with potential of on-going status.

What you will do:

• Welcome all customers with a smile, engaging greeting, and outstanding customer service.
• Demonstrate eagerness to learn Molbak’s products and brand.
• Develop product knowledge by reading current vendor tags and pamphlets and attending training classes in order to communicate it to the customer.
• Listen effectivelyto your customers, understand, and respond to their questions at their level of understanding, and educate them with suggestions, solutions and advice that will inspire them to be successful in furnishing their home.
• Convey information and product knowledge in a way that inspires action.
• Provide relevant design advice, product knowledge and product recommendations to provide exceptional customer experience and contribute to brand sales goals.
• Cross sell products to increase purchase amounts.
• Resolve customer needs quickly through effective communication and partnership from leadership when needed.
• Drive customer retention and loyalty.
• Ensure the sales floor is adequately presented and stocked to brand standard.
• Respond to pages, phones & radio calls promptly and politely, while adhering to proper communication etiquette, while still providing outstanding customer service.
• Act with enthusiasm and a strong sense of urgency in a fast-paced retail team environment.
• Demonstrate teamwork, flexibility, and the ability to work independently with a strong sense of urgency.

What you will bring:

• 1+ years’ experience in furniture sales
• Superior knowledge around products and services
• Ability to help create an amazing customer experience using your people skills in fast paced retail environment
• A strong passion for furniture, home design and decorating
• Exceptional customer service skills in a fast-paced retail environment
• Desire to live the Molbak’s brand, support the culture, have fun while maintaining a high level of enthusiasm for our customers

Basic Qualifications:

• Must have the ability to work standing, walking, bending, moving, or light lifting, up to 100% of the day.
• Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs. throughout the day and occasionally up to 50 lbs. with the assistance of other team members or tools such as hand trucks, pot lifters, and pallet jacks to lift items safely. We will train you on all the necessary safety precautions associated with this part of the role.

Compensation: Starting hourly wage for this role is $17.85/hr

Working Environment

Able to work outside and inside with exposure to varying extreme changes in weather and temperatures.
