JOB SUMMARY

The position will support the “two- person” delivery driver & helper (employee or independent contracted contractors) and associated personnel in a fast-paced, environment. Supports all facets of the operation, transportation, and delivery operations, and ensures processes and communications are aligned to meet and exceed client requirements. Ensures positive customer experience and positive client partnership. Directs the development of all warehouse personnel and operations, as well as contracted delivery partners to support the client relationship.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The job functions listed below represent the essential job duties and responsibilities of the above-listed
position.
  • Manage current Final Mile Network of locations focusing on Agreement compliance and customer
satisfaction through:
Strong relationships with Final Mile Location Management and their Staff; Performance metrics; On-
site inspections; By acting when required up to and including termination of Agreement with non-
performing location(s).
  • Replace lost locations.
  • Identify and expand location footprint based on customer and/or market volume demand.
  • Keep the entire Final Mile Team Ops/Sales/Management current with pertinent Final Mile Location
information.
  • Complete all necessary system notifications and recruiting documents and other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of transportation industry and terminology usually gained through practical experience and
on-the job training.
  • Knowledge of Final Mile Program service policies and practices.
  • Knowledge of D.O.T. regulations with regards to the trucking industry.
  • Skill in operating a P.C., including use of internet and intranet applications preferred.
  • Strong typing skills -Alphanumeric data entry (min. 7000 kph preferred).
  • Strong communication and decision making skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration
with an emphasis in marketing, Management, or Transportation/Logistics.
  • Two to three years’ vendor recruiting & management experience.
  • Two to three years’ final mile experience.
  • Two to three years’ final mile sales experience.

Seeing and hearing: Read documents, computer screen answer phones, 75-100 %
communicate in person.
