POSITION SUMMARY:

Tend to metal fabricating machines such as, cut-off saws, shears, rolls, brakes, presses, sizers, forming machines, spinning machines, and punches.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Produce parts as directed.
• Prepare and inspect parts for final production.
• Run first time production parts as directed and perform Poka Yokes.
• Rotate positions within each cell for cross training
• Use job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Set stops or guides to specified length as indicated
• Position workpiece against stops or align layout marks with die or blades.
• Detect workpiece defects or machine malfunction.
• Monitor the output of quality parts through inspection, scrap records, statistical process controls, and station control sheets.
• Measure workpiece dimensions to determine accuracy
• Remove burrs, sharp edges, rust, or scale
• Perform 5S activities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
